Honestly, most of what a website needs each month takes us minutes and takes you an evening.

A new price. A fresh testimonial. A plugin update that has been nagging you for six weeks, which you have been ignoring because the last one broke the contact form. None of it is hard, exactly. WordPress, your theme and every plugin you run release updates, and every one you skip is a door left open. Most hacked sites we are asked to fix were never targeted. They were simply out of date. So the updates have to happen. The trouble is that the “Update” button is also how most sites get broken, because an update that doesn’t agree with your theme or another plugin can take the site down in one click.

We don’t click update and hope. There is a backup before every update round, the site is checked after it, page by page, and if something breaks, we roll it back and fix it properly rather than leaving you with a white screen on a Friday night. Updates run monthly on every plan, or more often if your site needs it.

How Maintenance Works Month To Month

Fully remote and time zone friendly. You send us access once, and from then on it is a message.

    Send Access & A List

    Honestly, this is the simplest step for you. You send us WordPress admin access and whatever is already on your list: the edits that have been waiting, the plugin that keeps nagging, the thing that broke last month. We look over the site, note what it runs and how it is built, and tell you honestly what it needs and which plan fits, one, two or four hours a month, or on-demand edits by the hour. If the site has been left alone for a long time, we tell you what the first catch-up round involves before we start.

    Monthly Update Round

    On a schedule, we back the site up, update WordPress, your plugins and your theme, retire anything unused and then click through the site to check nothing broke, forms included. If an update doesn’t agree with your site, we roll it back and fix it properly rather than leaving it. You don’t need to do anything here except notice that the nagging has stopped.

  3. 03

    Edits As They Come

    A new price, a new testimonial, a new page for a new offer. Send it over and it comes out of your monthly hours, without a quote or an invoice. Bigger jobs get a quick estimate at your discounted rate before we start. You can also keep making your own edits whenever you like; it is your site, and we never want you to feel locked out of it.

    A Note & Carry On

    After each round, you get a short note of what was updated, what was fixed and anything we noticed. Plans run for 12 months, then month to month. If you decide you would rather we hosted the site too, moving onto the Hosting & Maintenance Plan is a message away, and the move is part of onboarding.

Do I Have To Host With You?
No. Maintenance works on your site wherever it is hosted. We log in, do the work and log out. If your hosting is the reason the site is slow or keeps going down, we will say so, and you decide. If you would like both halves in one place, the Hosting & Maintenance Plan bundles them for less than taking each separately.
What Counts As A Content Edit?
Changing text, prices or images, adding a testimonial, swapping a team photo, adding a simple new page in your existing design, fixing a broken link or form. Anything you could describe in a short message. A full redesign, a new section with custom design or a new integration is a bigger job, quoted separately at your discounted client rate.
What Happens If An Update Breaks My Site?
We roll it back from the backup we took before the round, then work out why and fix it properly, usually by updating the thing it disagreed with or testing the update on a staging copy. You will rarely know it happened. This is exactly why we don’t just click update and hope.
How Quickly Are Edits Done?
Small edits are typically done within a few working days of your message, often sooner. If something is broken, that jumps the queue. Bigger jobs get a timeline with their estimate.
Can You Maintain A Site You Didn’t Build?
Yes. Most sites we maintain were built by someone else, and quite a few have been left alone for a while. We look it over first and tell you honestly what the first catch-up round involves. If the site is built in a way that makes maintenance risky, you will hear that too, with options.
Is There A Contract?
A 12-month minimum term, billed annually, then month to month with no termination fee. Your site stays where it is, in your name, with your own admin access. You can also move between the monthly plans, on-demand edits and the full Hosting & Maintenance Plan at any time.
Should I Get Hosting And Maintenance Together?
