Existing Content Optimisation
The Pages You Already Have, Rewritten To Rank
Most sites don’t need more pages. They need the pages they already have to do their job. We take each one, work out which search it should answer, rewrite the copy, and fix the titles, headings, links, alt text and schema around it. One project, quoted by the number of pages, with a before-and-after report at the end. You worry about running your business, we worry about your pages.

The Unfair Advantage
Google Already Knows These Pages Exist
Did you know? Updating a page Google has already indexed usually lifts traffic faster than publishing a new one.
That is the unfair advantage of optimising what you already have. A new page starts from zero: Google has to find it, crawl it and learn to trust it. Your existing pages have done that part. They have age, they have links, and some of them are sitting on page two or three for searches you never planned for. Give each one a clear job and rewrite it to do that job properly, and the move up the page is quicker than anything a new article can manage.
Can you skip this and just write new content? Yes, and we offer that too. But what if I tell you that most of the sites we look at already have the right pages, just with the wrong titles, vague headings and copy that never once says what the customer actually typed?
Advantage #1
Every Page Gets One Clear Job
Most sites grow without a plan. A service page here, a landing page there, two blog posts on the same topic that compete with each other. Google looks at the lot and can’t work out which page to show for what, so it shows none of them well.
We start with a keyword map: every page in scope, matched to the one search it should answer. Pages that overlap are merged or pointed at each other. Pages with no job are given one. Then each page is rewritten around its keyword, from the title tag to the last paragraph.
Honestly, this is the least glamorous SEO work there is. It is also the work that moves the most pages, because the pages were already there. They were just saying the wrong thing.
Advantage #2
Copy Rewritten, Not Just Tags Changed
Plenty of what gets sold as on-page SEO is a new title tag, a meta description and an invoice. Google reads the whole page. If the copy never answers the question the searcher typed, a better title gets you a click and a bounce.
So we rewrite the copy. The opening says what the page is about in the first line. The headings follow the questions people actually ask. The body answers them in plain English, in your voice, and ends with a clear next step. Titles, descriptions, image alt text and the basic schema are set properly on top of that, not instead of it.
What if I tell you that a rewritten service page usually converts better as well as ranking better? The same clarity that helps Google helps the person reading it.
Advantage #3
Done Once, Measured Before And After
This is a project with a beginning and an end. We record where every page stands before we touch it, impressions, clicks and positions from your own Search Console, then do the work, request re-indexing and hand over a before-and-after report a few weeks later.
You are not signing up for anything ongoing. If you want new articles after this, that is a separate service, and we will tell you honestly whether you need it. Most sites get more from fixing the pages they have than from adding to the pile.
The honest catch is the wait. Google takes a few weeks to re-crawl and re-rank changed pages. We say so up front and we measure it rather than guess.
Who It's For
Who Existing Content Optimisation Is For
Sites with a decent number of pages that nobody has looked at with search in mind. If you have three pages and a contact form, start with Technical SEO instead.
Sites That Grew Without A Plan
Pages added over the years, titles written in a hurry, and several pages competing for the same search without anyone noticing.
Pages Stuck On Page Two
Search Console shows impressions but few clicks. The pages are close. They need a clear title and copy that actually answers the search.
Sites After A Redesign
The design is new, the copy came across as it was. Nobody rewrote it for what customers type into Google.
Stores And Service Catalogues
Category, product and service pages with a line of copy each and no idea what they are supposed to rank for.
What's Included
What Each Page Gets
The same checklist on every page in scope, in the same order. Every change is documented and the old copy is kept on file.
Keyword Mapping
Every page in scope matched to the one search it should answer, with overlapping pages merged or pointed at each other.
Titles & Meta Descriptions
A title Google understands and a description that earns the click, written for each page rather than generated.
Headings & Structure
H1, H2s and H3s rewritten to follow the questions people actually ask, so Google and the reader can both scan the page.
On-Page Copy Rewrites
The copy itself rewritten around the keyword, in plain English and in your voice, with a clear next step at the end.
Internal Links, Alt Text & Schema
Links between related pages, descriptive alt text on every image and the basic schema so Google knows what each page is.
Before & After Report
Impressions, clicks and positions from Search Console for every page, recorded before the work and again a few weeks after.
Our Optimisation Process
How An Optimisation Project Runs
A fixed scope, worked through page by page. You review every rewrite before it goes live.
- 01
Map
The hardest part is deciding what each page is for. You give us access to Search Console, GA4 and an editor login, and we pull the list of pages in scope with the searches each one is already showing up for. Then we build the keyword map: one search per page, overlaps resolved, gaps noted. You see the map, you comment, you approve. Sometimes the honest answer is that two pages should become one.
- 02
Rewrite
Page by page, in order of how much each one is likely to bring in. Title, meta description, headings, copy, internal links, alt text, schema. For specialist subjects we ask for your input first, usually a few bullet points or a short call. Drafts go to you for review and Cylas Tee checks every one. Honestly, this is the simplest step for you: read, approve or send back.
- 03
Publish
At this stage your job is done. Approved rewrites go live on your site, on a staging copy first where the platform allows it, with a backup in place. We request re-indexing in Search Console for every changed page and keep the old copy on file in case you ever want to compare or go back.
- 04
Measure
A few weeks after the last page goes live, you get a before-and-after report from your own Search Console: impressions, clicks and positions for every page we touched, side by side. If a page didn’t move, we say so and explain why. If the next step is new content or a technical fix, we tell you that rather than sell you more rewrites.
Existing Content Optimisation Pricing
If you’re looking for a “cheap” fix or someone to swap a few title tags.
We’re probably not the best fit.
And to be honest, no page ever climbed the rankings because someone changed the title and left the copy alone. Optimising a page properly means working out what it should rank for, rewriting it so it actually answers that search, then linking it, marking it up and measuring it. That takes a writer and an SEO on the same page, in both senses.
A few honest notes before you look at the numbers. Nobody can guarantee a ranking position, so we don’t, and you should keep your wallet closed around anyone who does. Changed pages take a few weeks to be re-crawled and re-ranked, and the report is measured after that wait, not before. One-time projects are 50% deposit, 50% on completion. Third-party tools are not included.
The following are our estimated starting prices based on similar sites in the past. The true investment can only be confirmed once we have seen your pages and your market. If you already have an idea in mind, contact us directly to get a quote.
